Pedal Biker 2

Our five part Pedal Biker 2 Coaching course is aimed at children confident riding their pedal bike and looking to develop their skills further. We challenge riders with slightly bigger obstacles across the same format as Pedal Biker 1 sessions.

The fun environment is designed to build on the skills they already have. Introducing obstacles in closer succession will increase skills and fun and using the flat top jumps (maximum height 12 inches) on gentle slopes means riders can focus on body position and standing up on the pedals.

Pedal Riders at level 2 will ride in teams and as individuals navigating a marked course as well as participating in the game formats we use in other sessions.

Everything will be explained by Dave your coach and riders shown what to do. We pride ourselves on developing bike handling skills, your child will be a more confident and able rider after our course. The 5 week course develops with small groups, some riders learn skills at different rates but each activity is designed to cater for that range of abilities.

Is This Course Right For Your Child?

Children joining the Pedal Biker 2 course should have proficient control of their bike when pedalling. Comfortable riding off a medium height kerb and the ability to ride in a circle around a parent or guardian. They should be comfortable using the brakes and confident of stopping on a gentle slope. The main thing however is enthusiasm! If your child is keen to ride and take part in games then they will be absolutely fine.

Where Next?

As young riders develop their skills speed is often something they want to increase. We show them how to manage speed and learn how to ride on mixed terrain so they can tackle bridleways and countryside paths.

Prior to attending the first session we will send out a short survey that will include things like allergies or intolerances, a simple safety waiver and photography consent.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you and your little pedallers to SkidKids, if you have any questions ahead of the first date then please do get in touch via email on [email protected].

Thanks,

Dave
